This week brought us a few fun things, and a few not so fun things...
First, we have a new little cousin, Melody Linden.
She is the tiniest little peanut I've seen in a long time. She was 6 lbs 11 oz at birth, and when I held her the next day, I could not believe that I had two babies a whole pound smaller then she was!
It's amazing how you forget....
Then we attended our other cousin Reagan's baptism. This is a special year for us, Reese will be baptized when she turns eight in December. She is a little nervous, so we're going to attend all the baptisms of her primary classmates so she can warm up to the idea.
Owen and I came down with horrible head colds at the same time. We've been battling it all week, and I've woken up every day with a Nyquil hangover. No fun. I'm not one that can handle my cold medicine very well, I do not like how it makes me feel. So that put a damper in things; I had to miss my book club, and I couldn't help my sister in law with her kids (the one who had the baby) because I was afraid of getting them sick. Plus I'm super grumpy because of the cold medicine, and just plain not feeling well. My poor kids are suffering right along with me!
But tonight, we get to have some delicious catered bbq for dinner, so that may just make up for things! I haven't had decent barbecue since we left the Kansas City area.
Oklahoma Joe's, how I miss you!
Utah just doesn't have the best places to choose from. Kinda like how Kansas City had HORRIBLE Mexican food, which is my absolute favorite food...
Cafe Rio salad. Pure heaven.
Now I want one.....Oh why do I torture myself so?
