Last Night

Brayden is doing his homework but comes down after only a few minutes.
The conversation that follows ACTUALLY TOOK PLACE:

Me: Did you finish your homework?
Him: I did all I can do tonight
Me: Does that mean there's still more to do?
Him: Ya, but I can't exactly do it
Me: Well why not?
Him: Because the lead on my pencil broke
Me: *exasperated sigh* Ok, go sharpen it
Him: Can't find a sharpener. I know all the other pencils in the house are too dull, so I really can't finish my homework tonight
Me: Nice try buddy

Only a week of school left!
