A family friend happened to get married this same weekend in Nauvoo, so we were able to attend the reception. Here we are before heading to the church, after having dinner at the Historic Nauvoo Hotel.
We spent the night in the cutest little cabin! It's a preserved home from the 1800's. It was small, but super cozy and the kids loved it.
Here are the three older kids standing in front of the rebuilt Nauvoo Temple. What a beautiful sight! I loved the simple architecture of the building and my favorite was the blue windows with the stars.(Is Ally posing!?)

Fantastic pics of you guys! I seriously had NO idea you could rent a cabin like that! We also ate at the Old Nauvoo Hotel last year when we went. It was SO yummy!! Glad you had a great time!
Wh-wh-WHAT!!!! I almost fell over when the picture popped up and you were in it!!!! you look beautiful. The trip sounds fun, I want to take the family someday...maybe in 10 years.
Emily, why in the world would I post a pic of myself when my kids are so much cuter??

Sorry we missed you. We got to the reception late, you must have left before we got there. Were you able to go to the temple? It sounds like you had a great time with your family. Come again!

What fun! I have to agree with Emily, you look gorgeous and so do your cute kids. I love how you stayed in that cabin. And Allie's little pose is awesome!
Love the photos! You are all so photogenic. Look like lots of fun. We love a good road trip too.
Hey, when did Brayden turn into Jonathan Lipnicki?
I had no idea that you were doing this! How fun! I want to hear all about it so that I can mimick it!
How fun to go up there! I've been wanting to make a trip that way as well. It's not too far from where I live now. I might have to get some tips from you if I ever make it up there.
I hope we can make a trip to Nauvoo next spring or summer. My cousin will be heading on his mission next year and they live in Omaha. So we hope to make a trip of it. I'll have to grab that cabin hotel's number if it starts panning out. It looks like you had so much fun. How neat for you to be so close!
Oh yeah I think that without knowing I stole your background. I think I even saw it on your blog on Sunday. I didn't even notice that they were the same. I guess we can be twiners(sp?) for a little while!
Jenni- I just realized I know the girl who was in the plane accident. Stephanie Clark ( her maiden name). She and her brother went to school with me, along with about 20 of her cousins. I hope they recover completely. Its so sad!!
thats to funny!! great minds think a like!
Nice! Nothing beats staying in a cabin. Nauvoo is great too, but come on...it's a cabin!
