I'm not political, but I do have an opinion

Last night we watched Gov. Sarah Palin deliver one of the greatest speeches of all time. She was tough, extremely clever and smart but was able to make her point very clearly. I was so happy to see her get up there in front of the nation and embrace her womanhood and motherhood without apology. It's refreshing to see someone warm and inviting rather then the often robotic and harsh Hillary.

Gov. Palin looks and feels like a real American who can empathize with many because of her background and upbringing. She came from a working class background and got where is she is today by to her values and principles. I don't know a whole lot about her, but from what I have read and heard she sounds like a diamond in the rough---someone who came from a 'normal' family and circumstance who has emerged as a rising star.

One of my favorite quotes from her speech last night, one of many she came out swinging with aimed at the dems and media:

"I'm not a member of the permanent political establishment. And I've learned quickly, these past few days, that if you're not a member in good standing of the Washington elite, then some in the media consider a candidate unqualified for that reason alone.

"But here's a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion; I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this country."

Gov. Palin really showed us what she's made of, and out of the two candidates, I believe she is the dynamite that could possibly blow this election out of the water.

And that's probably all you'll hear from me on the election! I need to follow it better!
My brother in law has a great blog if you want more in depth conversation!

I generally stay out of all politics...just because I find it so borning and frustrating. However, I do agree with you. Choosing Palin was the smartest thing J. McCain could've ever done.

I'm glad you wrote that, we are in agreement with you. We think she is a great lady. I'm sure Randy would love to post a political view on our blog but I'm not sure there would be enough room (ha!) He definately has his opinions and is not shy about talking about them. :)

girl power! she is awesome...just heard that when she took office, she auctioned off the governor's jet on ebay, got rid of the household help at the governor's mansion, and drives herself to work! pretty cool.

*clapping* I was right there besides you agreeing w/ Palin.. she is AWESOME!

I rarely get into politics too, and I don't like McCain, but since he picked a great running mate... :) Oh, and her husband is hot too. :D Just had to throw that in there!

Off topic: garage sales. I know! I thought about having one here, and you have to pay $17 for a freaking permit here to have a Garage Sale! Ugh! That's probably all I'll make!

I also watched her and I'm like Amy, I'm not much of a McCain guy but I sure like what Palin stands for and what she brings to the Republican Party. She is going to be a huge factor in the conservative movement for the next 25 to 30 years if you ask me.

Just the fact that in the last 6 days since her announcement the liberal media has tried to destroy her using vicious falsehoods is a tribute to what a force she will be for a long time to come. She energizes, motivates and inspires conservatives.

I missed her speech and will have to find it on the internet somewhere. One thing's for sure, and is also innapropriate for me to write here, is that she is quite the milf, and in a few months will be a heck of a gilf. I find it innapropriate that the media has spent so much time talking about Sarah's daughter. After it was first mentioned, it didn't need to be further explored by the whole freakin country. "If she can't take care of her daughter then how can she take care of the country" BULLCRAP. I can't believe anyone might actually believe that. I'm not a politics person but Obama is going to win. I would bet on it if I had a job that pays me money. Sarah Palin reminds me of Peggy Hill and Tina Fey. Also, she could beat me up any day of the week.
