An Inquiry

The weather certainly has cooled down here. The kids are wearing jackets when they go outside to play and I can leave the windows open for a nice cool breeze while I'm hanging out at home. I have started putting out my fall decorations too, which I love doing. It's my most favorite time of year, and I usually put them up early and keep them up until after Thanksgiving when the Christmas decorations go up. I'm usually pretty tired of them by then and glad for the change. I like to transform my whole house (or at this particular moment, apartment) into a warm, inviting place filled with yummy scents from baking or fall scented candles. However, I really have no idea when is customary to start changing things over. Is it when the air get's cooler? When the leaves change? So, please play along and answer me this one question dear blogosphere:

WHEN DO YOU PUT OUT YOUR FALL DECORATIONS??

Hi Jenni!
I knew Brayden and Aidyn would make good buds. They are even brothers in their mad sports skills. As far as my fall decor go, I decorate for Halloween and Christmas. So, I put up my Halloween decor the first week of October and I would TOTALLY put up my Christmas decor the day after Halloween, but John hates that. So I do it the day after Thanksgiving for his benefit:)

For me, I change the decor when the leaves change. (I see some yellow ones right now, in my book you are safe to do it!) All I have to do now is find the right box with all my stuff!!

I usually start putting mine out beginning of October, b/c I too get really tired of them come Thanksgiving, when I'm ready to do CHristmas stuff.

Sad, I won't see the leaves change here in San Antonio, as I usually also start when it gets a little brisky out and the leave start changing. :)

Hey, I say decorate for fall as soon as its September. Its my favorite time to decorate and I like it too last a good while and then my other favorite time-CHRISTMAS!!! Which I leave up too long too. Oh well, no one really should care but you and how you feel when you see them up. I always get happy to walk in and see fun decorations in my house.

I already have most of mine out. Fall pumpkins and leaves etc. But not Halloween just yet. I have a thing for Black Cats.I collect every cute one that I can. (it all started with a black kitty I had for years when I was a girl) if Kyle would let me have a real black cat I would!. I think I just like fall so much and I enjoy the coziness of a warm fall decor house.

I just put my first fall decoration last week. I'll probally put them all up this weekend. In Utah fall only last until the middle of October so I like to have a few up before it snows!

Fall is my most happy time in life. So fall decor is going up as we speak and Halloween adds to it in early October. Christmas goes up probably the week after Thanksgiving.

I love fall deco as well!! I love the colors so I try and find an excuse to put them out. It's usually sometime in September. In fact, I was going to pull them out this week! Wahoo!

Ah! So jealous...

I say to put up fall decorations in Sept. I skip putting up fall type decorations cause Jay likes to start decorating for Halloween at the end of Sept...then as soon as Halloween is over he starts sneaking out the Xmas decorations HA! I love the fall too!!! So much, I miss real fall weather. Fall in San Francsico was the best.
