12 years on the 12th

We met when we were very young! Just 14 for me and 17 for you. We didn't see each other much over the next few years, the age difference was pretty apparent. After my high school graduation and your mission, we knew very quickly that we were meant to be together forever. So you proposed, I accepted, and we started our lives together...

one month after engagement, one month before wedding!

So young! So innocent! So...sunburned??I won't name any names here, but someone had the bright idea to go to the tanning salon for the first time the day before his wedding!

The day of...
We got sealed for time an eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Apparently this temple is a very popular one to get married in, at 10:30 am we were couple number 23 to be sealed! I'll always remember looking at my new husband for the first time and the tears that could not stop rolling down my face. We knew it was good and it was right.

I heard this tree was destroyed by the freak tornado that hit SLC a few years later.

We worked for months in my moms back yard planting
and getting it ready for our outdoor reception. It turned out beautiful. And then you whisked me away to Park City to get in a short honeymoon before we had to start school.

One year later, we celebrated our first anniversary with this beautiful blue-eyed girl!
(Don't worry, she was a lot smaller at the time of our anniversary, just two weeks old :))

Thank you for twelve amazing years! Did you ever think we'd be living in Kansas with FOUR kids by now? It's been a whirlwind, but I wouldn't change a thing!
