Mission: Accomplished

One last picture with Grandma and Grandpa...

At church the week before Don's parents were to fly to Chile, an announcement was made for everyone to stand outside and wave, parade-like, as President and Sister MacArthur left their home on the way to the airport.

It was a complete surprise to the missionary couple, they had no idea. I wasn't there, but I heard that the neighbors came out in masses and lined the streets with signs and banners and cheers. As the car twisted and turned through the neighborhood, Sparky and Sherri couldn't help but cry. They are so loved by so many.

By the time they reached the airport, I think they were done with goodbyes--because they are hard--and ready to start serving. It had been six long months between the time of the call and the actual send-off, and they were ready to go.

Here is the cute missionary couple, all decked out in their name tags,
and ready to board the plane.
Thanks to a brother-in-law who works at the airport,
we were able to get this shot of their plane being taxied onto the runway.
Adios Grandpa Sparky and Grandma Sherri!!

WE LOVE YOU!!
