Power and Light District

In the heart of downtown Kansas City is an nine block area called the Power and Light District. It was built as a revitalization effort to attract more business growth to the downtown area. It's a really fun place to see, especially all lit up at night. It houses restaurants, nightclubs, shopping, entertainment, courtyards and a large outdoor concert venue. We took these photos last fall when we went to the circus as a family.
This is the Sprint Center where the circus was held...
Random shot looking at some neat buildings. Have no idea what they are!
Here is a view from a balcony looking down on the stage
where there are lots of concerts during the summer months...
Same balcony, looking in the other direction

Before the circus we ate a yummy gourmet burger place called Chef Burger...
SO YUMMY!
Here is a shot of the Power and Light District we took from our private helicopter.
Kidding. I actually stole this picture from another website.

It's a fun place to visit with the kids during the day, but really not our scene at night---there are no open container laws and lots clubs, not too family friendly.
I do want to try more restaurants with Don sometime....can't wait until Ally is a full blown babysitter! Soon!!
