There's the funnest little shopping district called Park Place here in KS that offers fun classes and opportunities for family outings. We were able to catch an outdoor screening of "ET" and sample yummy gelato in May and in early June we met up with some playgroup friends for a kids gardening class. Each kid got to put together their own terrarium! First they had story time and a mini lesson on terrariums, then each one got to pick out their own plants and accessories for their mini gardens. We loved the colorful rocks and miniature frogs and turtles. So cute!

Ta da!
The kids were so happy with their finished products and couldn't wait to
get their mini ferns and succulents home to take care of. We left ours in the care of the Wallace's while we were away. Thanks guys!
After our gardening class we had a visit from the reptile guy who brought lots of interesting creatures from the zoo. The little baby weighs in at 150lbs. Yikes!!
These cuties are enduring the heat and catching up on the latest gossip
The guys are being guys; acting all nonchalant but you know they are really are having a blast. Even though it was a billion degrees....

I told you that I think I killed the baby ferns? They were doomed from the start!!!! Good times!
I have NEVER heard of this place, and I have lived there almost my entire life! Hey... heard of Shatto Farms? Shatro? Shato? Anyways, the milk company? They do tours as well for $5 an adult, free for kids, and apparently it's an hour outside of KC.... intriguing!
