In Memory Of...

Our little nephew Parker. Parker was born in October of 2003 and was immediately diagnosed with a heart murmur. Further testing revealed he had aortic stenosis--or his aorta was too small to pump blood efficiently. Parker had to have angioplasty procedures to open the valve and relieve the pressure on his heart. During a routine procedure when he was 21 months old, his heart stopped beating unexpectedly and he was placed on life support. During that week, his parents were faced with many difficult decisions. An MRI revealed that due to lack of oxygen after his heart stopped, he was left mostly brain dead. Lindi and Rodger (Parker's parents) agaonized and finally decided it was best to let their baby boy go home. Parker died on July 15, 2005.

Here is a photo of some of the grandkids on Halloween. Ally is on the back row wearing the giant wings, Brayden is on the second row in the pirate costume, Reese is a baby bumblebee and Parker is on the end in the scarecrow...
Parker would be five this year. We miss this little guy with the huge blue eyes and will always keep him in our hearts and memories.

Jenni, thank you. I know people in the family will never forget him... but it brings happy tears to my eyes when things are written. It is getting to be far too long and this is just the beginning. I miss him so much. Thank you for not forgetting our little boy. I love you!
