Christmas Eve

This post is a little late, but I wanted to get it all on the blog in case I decide to eventually get a book made from all the posts of the year. Did you know you could do that??? Imagine the possibilites....!!

Anyway, this past Christmas Eve we were invited to participate in a Nativity with some friends in our ward (church group). Allyson played the part of an angel, Brayden was one of many shepherds, Reese was a barn cat, and Owen was a lion. All kinds of animals came to pay their respect to the baby Jesus in our version.

We are so glad we got to participate in this tradition here in Kansas, it is one that our extended family does every year back in Utah. I was always the director of our family version and I ended up 'backstage' trying to get all the kids dressed and lined up for parts. It was fun for me to be in the audience and actually see the kids do their parts. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

And there was much rejoicing in the land...

That's a great tradition. I need to start something like that around here. We used to do it as kids, but haven't done it since. That really helps your children realize why we celebrate Christmas each year.

That's great that you found some great people in your ward in Kansas. I would have needed that if I wasn't coming home for Christmas!

That is a really cute idea!
Also, I did hear about that printing of the blog thing...but I have never seen it done. Are you going to do it?
