Rebellion

In case you didn't notice, I've changed the background on my blog to a more "winter theme." I am one of those who loves to put out her Christmas decorations early, and I am married to someone who hates that! He thinks it's like skipping Thanksgiving and taking the true meaning out of Christmas. It's not the intention, but I can see where he's coming from.

So, we compromise and Thanksgiving night I am breaking out my boxes and hauling out the holly. What can I say? I'm thankful for Christmas!! But I am always finding someway to sneak in the Christmas before Thanksgiving. I can't help it! Like in the car, the station has been tuned to Christmas since they started playing it a few weeks ago, I've let the kids watch Christmas movies (gasp! don't tell Don) and the background on my blog will slowly change to a full Christmas theme. By the way, I've already picked it out and I'm sure half of the blogosphere will have the same one...

Well guess what my tree is up!! I live by the motto quoted in the "I Believe In Santa Claus" Christmas book. Sometimes people complain that the department stores put up Christmas too early, But I say "thank you" they are adtvertising the spirit of Christmas. They are reminding me of Christ!!!
Happy Thanksgving!!! Gobble, Gobble! I'm on your team!

I can't wait to break out my Christmas decorations either. My husband would just let the holiday pass buy without even setting up a tree. It gets more fun with kids though. I bet your kids get so excited for Christmas. Good luck with the decorating.

I have alot of fun Christmas decor (or as Kyle would call them "Nick Nacks") it is fun to put them up. I usually do it all just after Thanksgiving. We also have a tradition of cutting our own Christmas tree. I had to wait in the cold weeee hours of the morning at Soldier Hollow Ski Resort to get a permit for tree cutting. But the memories are worth it! I will be changing my blog paper soon too. Mostly because it is just so darn fun to do that!
