Best-Sugar-Cookie-Recipe-Ever

My mother in law handed down this recipe,
these are by far the best sugar cookies I've ever tasted!

Here's the recipe:

Blend:
3/4 c. margarine (softened)
2 c. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)

Add:
1 c. sour cream
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Fold:
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
5 1/2 c. flour

Refrigerate dough for one hour. Roll onto floured surface and cut into desired shapes. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

{We like to frost with cream cheese frosting}

Enjoy!

Jenni, you gave me this recipe years ago and we still love it. I made them at Christmas and realized that the first 3 ingredients make frosting. No wonder they are so good! You bake the frosting in and then frost them again! YUMMY!!!!

Thanks for posting the recipe. I'm looking forward to trying it out. I didn't realize that I had commented "anonymously" yesterday. This is Tiffani, Erin's Sis-in-Law - I linked over to your blog from their site.

Cool picture of the cookies! Makes me want to run out and make some. I heard someone say they use that recipe then add a little lemon juice or orange flavoring. Soo good!
