Great to be Eight

So I had a nice long post about my awesome daughter Ally, but for some reason the font kept changing on it's own to some weird code. So if you can read this, then yay, I got it figured out!
On my original post I was saying how much I love having an eight year old. I love being able to reason with a child, and having actual conversations. But that's not all, I love everything about this girl. Her smile, her laugh, her love for art. I love her imagination-and the songs she makes up and sings (quite loudly) to go along with whatever she is playing at the time. I am so excited to see what the future has in store for her, but I am scared of her growing up. I want the world to see how wonderful she is, but I want her all to myself. I have so much fun hanging out with her, and my favorite thing is hearing her jabber to me about her day at school and her latest crush. Watching her grow up and change has been so fun, and I only hope I can live up to being the kind of mom she deserves. This girl is amazing and I am blessed to be her mom!
