DIED AND GONE TO CHURCH

So today in church, we were all sitting 'quietly' listening to the nice speaker man, when Reese decides she needs to stand up and look around. I'm watching her out of the corner of my eye-a habit I picked up after she turned 2, while still trying to get some inspirational message from the nice speaker man. Suddenly Reese says in her normal talking voice while pointing to the lovely couple behind us, "MOM, that lady is fat. She's really fat." I am trying desperately to 'shhhh!' her while my face and neck turn bright red, not daring to look behind me. So what does Reese do? Well, naturally she says it again in her sweetest most honest three year old voice "Mom, look, she's fat." After 'gently' picking her up and 'softly' placing her back onto her chair, and 'nicely' explaining to her that it isn't ok to point at people and call them names, I was able to wipe the beads of sweat off my forehead, still not daring to turn around. By that time it was the closing song and prayer, and I don't think I ever said 'amen' and bolted my four kids out the door so fast in my life! What principle did I learn today? Honesty isn't always the best policy.

That Reese sounds like quite the character! You'd think your husband would be there to help you...where was he?? Out roaming the halls like a vagabond?

I agree...where was that lazy bum?? Making you take care of the kids alone??
