Absolute Awesomeness

Today Owen wanted to play 'treasure hunt' and he wanted to draw our map. So I gave him a paper and marker and left him alone for a few minutes and this is what he came up with...Oh my goodness, I couldn't believe my eyes! This is the first 'real' picture he has ever drawn--and it's really quite good! I asked him to explain it to me, and he said the two guys are pirates--note the patch over one of their eyes and their 'mean' faces. The dotted line is the route to follow on our map, and the round circles at the bottom are gold coins--our treasure.
And of course, his name at the top. I wanted to cry because of the absolute awesomeness of this drawing, and all the thought my sweet little three year old boy put into it.

**This was right after he told me that Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon. Totally not kidding!**

Someone get this kid a college scholarship--we've got a smart one on our hands!
