Things I've learned this month:
1) ALWAYS keep your house clean. You never know when you'll end up in the hospital!
2) Cartoons in the middle of the night are the cure for a tummy ache
3) Gas drops really work, in fact they force the air right up and out of Owen. Along with his lunch---happens every time!
4) Don't blog about how glad you are that an illness is over until you know it is REALLY over.
5) Kirkland Signature diapers from Costco can hold A LOT
6) Don't be afraid to stand up to nurses who shrug and say
"he's fine, kids get the flu"
7) I'm really REALLY grateful to have Don working from home!!
8) You really can function on 3-4 hours of sleep a night
9) An ambulance ride (transfer) to another hospital at 1am is fun for a two year old
10) Heavenly Father truly hears and answers prayers!
I'm not saying that Owen is completely better, he's not. BUT we believe he's on the mend--finally. He had so much trauma to his bowels from whatever virus was plaguing him it's been a long road to recovery. Reintroducing foods has been a careful process.
He had an appointment yesterday and more labs/x-rays/samples were collected. We're waiting to see if anything turns up!
Today was a really good day--he had an appetite, no tummy ache or all the 'other' fun symptoms we have been cleaning up the past three weeks. We hope and pray that he continues to recover and that his symptoms don't return. Thank you again for all the support.

Oh.. you poor guys! I learned something new from my girls' dance teacher last night. She said someone told her that whenever someone is sick in the house, slice an onion in half, and let it sit out. Apparently, the onion collects all the germs that are floating around. She said this gal who told her about this tip, said her onion was BLACK, so it must work. Maybe an onion will make sure everyone else stays well!! Hang in there!
Glad you guys are on the mend!!
