Ice, Ice Baby

This is what the world looked like when we woke up this morning.
Grey, dreary and everything crystallized in ice.
We thought for SURE church would be canceled. I checked my phone messages and emails and even made some calls----nope, we still need to go! I was actually surprised because they've canceled church for much less....

We found Don's car frozen in time on the driveway.
It's completely and utterly useless today.
Let's have a closer look!
As you can see, the ice has formed a thick layer over the entire thing.

Even closer now---it's at least an inch thick in some places!

I'm happy to report, we made it safely to and from church before the snow started falling. Now we're all wrapped up in blankets and pajamas and not leaving the house again.

Oh the joys of a Mid-West Winter!!
Can't wait for Spring....

I'm glad I'm seeing the ice storm in pictures instead of in person. Scary! I'm surprised church wasn't canceled. So glad you made it there and back safely.

Holy cow, that looks crazy cold. And I thought Utah was bad. At least you have your cute kids to cuddle with to keep warm. I will use any excuse to get my kids to snuggle.

I so don't miss that about Kansas. I hated cleaning off my car. Good times.

I remember my car getting like that at USU. I used to pull out my blow dryer, just so I could get the key in. That's pretty bad! Hopefully it will warm up soon.
