Today was lovely.
LOVELY.
We are back on the 9am church schedule, so Sunday afternoons are enjoyable again!
We can come home, have a quick lunch, take naps and wake up in time for a nice Sunday dinner.
I was lucky enough to get a nap today---Don was sweet and hung out with the kids while I slept for two and a half hours. I woke up to a roaring fire and all the kids sitting comfortably on the couch having a read a thon---awesome. We got a Kindle for Christmas, so we are always fighting over who gets to read on it---so far I have finished three novels. Love it!
Back to today.....
Don serves as a nursery leader in our ward (18 month to 3 year olds) and I teach primary age kids (age 5)--I could start a whole new blog and fill it up with funny things those kids say--they are adorable and I love teaching them. Anyway, the other nursery workers had brought in this motorized car for everyone, but it wasn't getting used all that much and was a pain to keep charged, so they sent it home with us today for little Owen to use!
He LOVES it and can't get enough of it.

Wait! Let's look at this picture again...last night after baths, I gave Owen a little trim---looks like I need to fix the front! Sorry Owen!

Back to the cruisin' pics. We're still learning how to turn!

I am also happy to report that the kids will finally be going back to school tomorrow! After Christmas break, they had one day back before a cold wave hit the mid west creating major problems with snow and ice with wind chills reaching well below zero. So our Christmas break was extended an entire week and we were feeling very cooped up by the end! Here's a picture of a typical morning at our house last week.....we snuggled in blankets by the fire and didn't get dressed until noon. It's going to be hard going back---for them--haha. As for me, some much needed quiet time and a clean house is in order!

What a fun toy for Owen! I'm so ready for school to be back in. It's hard keeping them entertained at home for so long. Especially in the winter!
I LOVE SCHOOL!
