Blueberry Patch

Drive fifteen minutes south east, and you'll end up at the funnest little blueberry farm!
When I say little, I mean BIG! 22 patches big! Today was opening day, so we thought we better see what all the hype was about. Once we arrived we were assigned to patch number three and off we went with our buckets in hand.It was hot and humid and I mean HOT AND HUMID.
We were all dripping with sweat after only 30 minutes of picking.

Brayden meticulously chose the biggest, juicest berries.

Owen may have sampled a few, I'm not sure

Reese was adorable, and totally into it

Look! Friends! We met up with the VanOrman family at the end. Karina is my runnin' buddy, and we had just finished a miserable run in the miserable humidity that morning.
We weighed and paid for our berries (so cheap!)
and then bought some Popsicles to cool off (not so cheap!)

In all his fudgesicle mouth glory, here's Brayden with his blueberries.
Like his shirt? He does.

There was a little play area too.

They conquered the hay! Take that hay!
Then out of now where, a sudden down pour.
It lasted for about five minutes but completely soaked us!

Gotta keep the landscape lush!

So beautiful.

The end.

That does look like so much fun! I love places like that...country farms, markets, pick your own whatever.

That brings back so many memories for me..when i was little (until age 9) we lived in southern mississippi and we would go to this huge blueberry farm with our big white buckets! Fun times! I am jealous that your kids get to experience life outside utah..I love it here and I am glad we live here but i wouldn't mind them experiencing other places! What fun!
