Where did the week go? I love these kinds of weeks, where I forget what day I'm on and the kids have to remind me it's Friday. I was actually on top of the laundry too! That is, until Owen had a case of allergies and has been barfing every time he coughs too hard. As of this morning, a pile of blankets, my sheets/comforter, three little outfits, and a shirt of mine are all needing to be washed and dried because of the coughing/barfing boy.

It feels like we are back in the swing of things too. Moving to a new state and starting completely over has really set us back in multiple ways. But last night was a pleasant reminder that we are finding ourselves again: Don and the older kids went to a Kansas City Wizards MLS game. You see, back in Utah our family was ALWAYS at a game. If you know us, you know that Don's always been a sports nut, and BYU football, Utah Jazz and Real Salt Lake Soccer is and forever will be imprinted on his heart. I can tell he misses going to those games with his friends and brothers, it's been hard for him not to be there! So last night he took our little ones in their Real Salt Lake jerseys to an MLS game where they had an absolute blast. I stayed home with the barfing baby and it felt like old times again getting picture messages of my kids waving to me from the stadium.

And Reese? She's really coming out of her shell these days and is quite the little social butterfly. She has had a play date with a different friend everyday this week. Now she's spoiled and thinks everyday is going to be a super fun play day. I do feel very lucky to be surrounded by such great friends here. Friends who offer to watch kids for me, who I trust completely, and who are so genuine and kind. I have so many of those kinds of friends here, it really is a great place to live.

As for the older kids, they are getting......older. Growing like weeds. Someone is always needing new shoes or pants, I simply cannot keep up! Allyson will be competing in her first ever track meet in a few weeks. I've got her on a strict mileage program with speed drills every other day. Not really. But I will be thrilled if she chooses running as her sport. My little heart will simply burst with pride! Soccer is under way for Brayden, he has improved so much this past year, it is great fun to watch him go after the ball. It helps that dad bribes him with a dollar for every assist or goal he makes! The kids are wanting tennis and horseback riding lessons this summer, yeah we'll see.

We are enjoying the beautiful weather. Soon it will turn hot and humid and unbearable, but for now, it is mild and pleasant and oh so green. The next few months will bring us more decisions to make and a move. Until then, we are counting down for our big trip to Utah this summer. We cannot wait!!

Oh boy... horseback riding? Overland Park is rubbing off on them! That's so cool Ally is in track! I'm secretly hoping Katie takes up track. This puberty thing is pretty hard on her tummy. :)
