Sunday Drive

I love general conference weekend! Click HERE if you don't know what that is. On Sunday during the break between sessions, our family decided to take a little drive. We drove 30 minutes to Shoal Creek, which is in Clay County, Missouri. Or known 'round these parts as the place where the new temple is going to be built. It is a beautiful place, and from the information we gathered, somewhere in the general area of this photo will be a new LDS Temple. The photo is not the exact spot, the ground isn't broken yet and there are no signs posted.

We feel so grateful to be here at this time to see the start of such an amazing thing. Coming from Utah where we were surrounded by temples, we have quickly learned that it is a blessing and a privilege to have one being built so close by. The nearest one now is 3 hours away. I cannot wait to see it's progress and to be there for certain milestones. I hope my children will look back on this and remember how blessed they were to live in such a beautiful area and to see this beautiful temple being built.

Wow! Is that the proximity of the land for the KC temple? Beautiful! :) Thanks for posting the picture! No one else seems to know anything. :(
