And Now.....The Weather

Early morning temperatures dipped well below zero in Eastern Kansas today. By sunrise as many wary, glassy eyed mothers stepped out the door to start the car in advance, windchills reaching -15 degrees took their breath away. Snot literally froze on the faces of babes as they were rushed from warm houses to their awaiting cars, and children and toddlers arrived at school/preschool with sore, red cheeks. By midmorning, those returning home from the gym found the temperatures to have risen to a mild 4 degrees with clear skies up above. High afternoon sun brought on a heatwave causing temperatures to reach as high as 10 degrees. No need for sunscreen just yet! Evening was slammed with more artic air from the north and temperatures once again dropped to single digits with negative degrees in windchills. People are advised to stay inside. Unless your daughters have dance which costs an arm and a leg and you feel like you need to be there. In that case, dinner should be McDonalds drive through with the window rolled down only far enough to hand over the money and grab the food with the heat cranked as far as it can go.

For tomorrow Kansas, we're looking at slightly warmer temperatures (although, I doubt you will even notice) with a chance of flurries. The weekend should bring a mixture of sun and clouds with highs in the 40's.

And that folks, is our weather report.

That is so cold. I had know idea it dropped that low in Kansas. I would be huddled inside my bed in my PJs still if it were that cold here.
