is what we're on right now.
Last week we literally wore ourselves out while we had Don in town with us. We went nonstop: sleepovers, waterparks, shopping, cousins and more cousins. Of course my camera battery died on the morning of the Fourth, so I didn't get to capture the four delights in all of their red/white/blue delightfulness. We made Don and Uncle Mark stay out all night on the Freedom Festival Parade route to save our spots. We should have just shown up 10 minutes before it started and shoved our way in like everyone else did! After the parade we had brunch and outside fun at Toran and Erin's and then a BBQ at Grandma Thomas' with the city firework display, then our own firework display. The next day we were tired. Don got sick. No fun to spend your last two days on vacation in bed. Now here we are, monday morning--Don's back in Kansas, and I'm still in Utah. I woke up with the most horrible back ache too, I can't bend, twist, or sit properly. I can barely lift Owen! I've never had one of these before, I guess I'm getting old. So here I am, leaning on the heating pad, the kids are outside happily playing and Owen is snoozing away.
A vacation from the vacation!
