Homecoming Queen Dethroned

This year is the year for tens for me! Ten year reunion, and tenth anniversary (I got married a few months out of highschool).

Tonight I attended the reunion. It was held at a park so that people could bring their kids. I brought mine, even though my husband is 1200 miles away, thinking that they would be their sweet, cute little selves and play happily on the playground while I chatted with old friends. Ahem. Owen cried (the arching your back kind) the whole time, Ally whined that she was bored and Reese threw a number of fits because she wanted to be pushed on the swing. Brayden was the only kid I didn't have to worry about. I was so embarrassed because I probably had the most kids there--that in itself warranted some attention, but me struggling to get everyone under control I'm sure got me a few pity looks. Why didn't I leave them home??

Oh well.

Those whom I was excited to see were nice and helpful even though I couldn't have a normal conversation without some sort of crying or whining interruptions, and I was so tired!! Having kids just wears you out!

If Ally follows in my footsteps, (which she better not) I'll be brining my first grandchild along to my twenty year reunion!

Oh, I'm sorry! Your kids are darling though!
It was sooo fun, anyway, don't you think?

Haha! The last comment about possibly bringing a grandchild to the 20 y/reunion was hilarious!!! I'm sorry I didn't come Jenni. I could have pushed Reese on the swing to keep her(and me) busy. Maybe if I just pushed her on the swing the whole time I could have avoided the grand inquisition from everyone on the nothingness that has been my past decade! I had a great time in Cedar for my neph's b-day though, good stuff. I'm gonna call you sometime today and you can fill me in on who I missed at the big bash...

I was sure glad to see you last night. It was fun to reunite with friends that I haven't seen in so many years. Your kids are so adorable, and even cuter in person. Thanks again for coming, and that will be funny to see if you will have grandchildren by the 20th reunion.

I am sorry you didn't have a better time. Maybe they should've offered babysitting...who was on this planning committee anyhow (HA!)
