15 Hours

driving in the car later (not counting stops) we're back in Kansas. Poor Ally spent her 9th birthday stuffed into the back seat with her brother. Don't worry, we stopped at a little out of the way Village Inn for some chocolate chip pancakes and a brownie sundae for her birthday dinner. I'll post pictures of her little cousin party later!

Over the weekend, we had the first ever MacArthur Family Reunion. All ten of Don's siblings (including him) were there. All 29 and soon to be 30 grandchildren were there too. It was a three day event starting with a hike to Stuart Falls. Everyone had matching shirts, and the kids shirts each said "Grandchild #" and then their birth order number on the back of theirs. It was so fun to get so many compliments on inquiries of our large extended family. Then we had Pizza Factory catered dinner that night compliments of Toran and Erin---whom I might add,
planned the entire event--thanks guys!! The babies had a blast:The boys were wild and crazy:
The next day, Sunday, all 50 of us attended Don's parents ward and took up four benches. Owen and I spent the meetings wandering the halls as usual. After we all got a nap, we all gathered at Toran and Erin's again for a big dinner which Mark , Jme and Isabela enjoyed:
And after, a kid talent show, which Grandpa Sparky conducted:
Every seat in the house was filled:
Ally did impersonations:
Brayden played the recorder:
Reese watched:Owen was so funny, he likes to click his tongue, so I held him up in front of the audience and told them all to "click" at him, so they all did, and he clicked right back. They cheered for him, so he started clapping for himself. It was cute, but I didn't get a picture.

Meet Don's twin sister, Debbie! This is her sixth baby, Luke.

We like to reproduce. Here's seven babies in eleven months:Back row: Monica & Max, Me & Owen, Jme & Bela
Front row: Lori & Enoch, Melissa & Sophie, Debbie & Luke, Erin & Jace

The reunion concluded on Monday with a day at Lagoon--kids in their matching shirts of course. I'll post the pics when I can get them off of our other computer. I know you can't wait!!

Wow! That looks like so much fun. I always dream of family reunions, I think it would be so much fun. But sometimes it is hard to convince the rest of the family of that, HA!
