OH the Humidity!

It's been a few days since my last post. Not much going here, the big news has been all the thunderstorms and tornado warnings that have hit the mid west in the last few days. No sirens or touchdowns in our area, thank heavens. The kids are used to these storms now--they can play or sleep right through them. I'm still a little nervous and I like to have the news on and track the storm--it's so cool because they can tell down to the minute when the storm will be overhead. Just the mid west way of life I guess!!

Now we have to deal with the humidity. I heard it was bad, but boy, is that an understatement! My morning runs have become more of a morning-trying-not-to-pass-out-from-heat-jog. The air is so thick and sticky and your body can't breathe and cool itself down like normal. So I usually come back soaking wet and a nice reddish/purple color. Sexy.

In other news, poor little Brayden has strep. It gave him a rash this time--poor guy. I didn't know he had it and took him to the pool probably exposing all the other kids there. Oops. Did I do that? He's on the mend now and can play the Wii with no headache/sore throat bothering him.

This weekend looks to be more thunderstorms and humidity. We have a BBQ planned, so hopefully we can squeeze it in before the rain hits!

We know about humidity here too. I was always told Texas was hot and dry so it doesn't really feel "hot"... yeah right. :)

Sorry to hear about Brayden! I hope he gets better fast. All my kids ended up sick and 2 of them were throwing up on the way home in the car. Oh well, we made it and are ok now.

Good luck with the humidity thing. I think you really do get used to it over time.(Who knows how long that could be though?)

I think you do get used to the humidity over time, because now when I go back to Utah I feel like I got to bathe 3x a day and drink 2gallons of water just to keep from drying out.

So September??? I'm not sure if my nerves can last that long!! I am so over the tornado thing.

We are VERY long over due for a hang out...I know the kids are dieing to see your kids. I'm sorry Brayden got sick, I hope he is feeling better. We are really going have to figure out when we can get together. Jeremy has the YM/YW temple trip next weekend too. :(

Maybe you guys should move over this way...maybe the humidity is better in Missouri!!

The humidity is horrible isn't it? I have been trying to run before 7 every morning to try and avoid the heat/humidity of the mid-south, but it doesn't help. I may as well be running at noon.
