One of her personal favorites is Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! I have watched it a few times and I still don't get it. The only thing I do get is a headache from that blasted theme song I can't get out of my head.

The next show is one I cannot explain. It was the brainchild of a member of the ska band the "Aquabats". It features an African American gentlemen as DJ Lance who wears a skin tight orange jumpsuit . He says things like "a break it down" and leads a group of toy monsters on magical journeys. In order to transport to the magical lands he has to say the words "YO Gabba Gabba" which is also the name of the show. It's absurd style of music is supposed to appeal to adults as well as kids with frenzied dances and wholesome messages. So far it's had a ton of famous guests and it has become a huge hit. For me, I cannot seem to get past the orange jumpsuit guy and those strange monsters. I think we watched the Halloween episode a jillion times (thanks to 'on demand') and I still have "too much candy's gonna make you soooo sick" stuck in my head. Too much Orange Jump Suit Guy's gonna make me soooo sick.

Ahh Max and Ruby. Ruby and Max. A breath of fresh air. Two sibling bunnies, the little brother always seeming to get into trouble, with older sis Ruby bailing him out. Sweet grandma bunny usually comes to visit, as well as Louise- a fellow bunny scout. I only have one concern, and that is where are the parents? We've never once seen them. These bunnies are practically raising themselves. One of these days the social service bunny is going to come to visit.

This one never began.

This one's not allowed.

In 2007, this show was nominated by TIME as one of the best shows of all time.
Innocent sea creatures involved in crazy, unrealistic situations. Clearly made for adults, marketed for kids. Sometimes we parents having to answer awkward questions like "mom, why is Squidward wearing a leotard and dancing?" Kids quoting lines like
"oh tartar sauce!" and "barnacles!"
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Absorbant and yellow and porous is he?

My very most favorite kids show is so fantastic, so laugh out loud hilarious-- it's going to require it's own post to really do it justice. Stay tuned.....it's a secret.
